MESSAGE FROM THE HONORARY CHAIRMAN

My name is Rickson Gracie. I was born and raised inside the Jiu-Jitsu world and have been devoting my whole life towards this Art, which have taught me a great deal about life and improved me as a person, and still does to this day.

The benefits Jiu-Jitsu has brought me are unmeasurable, which I am sure everyone who practices this Art feels the same. I have been investing and following the growth of the Jiu-Jitsu my family recreated, and I see how fast this Art is expanding around the world.

I have a special relationship with Japan. It is where I had many important fights in my career and also where the roots of Jiu-Jitsu came from, before it expanded to my family in Brazil and now all over the world.

It is my wish to repay Japan for all it has done for me, by spreading and organizing the Jiu-Jitsu in Japan. For these purposes I have established JJFJ (Jiu-Jitsu Federation of Japan).

I would like to invite all of you who practice this sport and art, to be a part of this important project, where I will put in my best effort to make it worth a while for all the athletes, academies, teams, associations and affiliated leagues.
